Meet Bella Voce

Bella Voce, made up of Karen Bagnini (left) and DeeGee Brandemour (right), emerged as a collaboration through the years and was shaped in 2022 by a spontaneous, musical friendship at Karaoke Night at Grandma Goldsack’s Bakery.

Karen started singing and playing the guitar at age six and performed for a few years with her guitar teacher’s band at senior centers in Brooklyn, NY. She feels closest to the folk, R&B, rock (some country bluegrass), and theater tunes of the last six decades. Karen has also had the honor of singing at wedding ceremonies for the last three decades. Karen leads an arts-driven life (alongside being a mental health professional and educator) with her spouse, Barry Nagel, who is a musician and music educator (as well as the sound designer for the event) and their son, who is a photographer and videographer.

Dee Gee has been singing in the Catskills and Poconos for more than four decades with various performers, including being the opening act for Henny Youngman. She has her background in musical theater from Municipal Opera in St. Louis, where she worked as a child with opera greats such as Claramae Turner and Robert Rounseville. Her inspiration over the past 20 years has come from her husband, Daniel Entriken, who himself was in the original case of 1776 on Broadway, and Karen, who always makes her a better musician.
